If you are totally Trust Funded you will be in receipt of some benefits, most of these benefits will be taken to assist with the payment of your fees except for £27.19 which is called Personal Allowance and is money the Government states is to meet your personal needs whilst in a care home.
The rest of your benefits will be calculated and used to pay some of the fees. The trust will make up the difference to £803.00 per week. You will notice that there is a shortfall of £57.00 per week from what the trust will pay and our fee at Cornfield, this is the 3rd party charge

Part funded works the same as trust funded, the difference being that for every £250.00 savings over £14,250.00 you will pay £1.00; this is called "tariff from savings"
If a resident has £15,250 which is £1,000 over the allowed £14,250 therefore the "tariff from savings" will be £4.00

If you have savings over £23,250 then you will be Privately Funded, i.e. this means that you will pay the full cost £803.00 per week, (this excludes Cornfield Care Centre third party charge of £57.00 per week paid by third party) however the government will pay £100 per week towards your costs, which will reduce your payment to £760.00 per week. As a privately funded person you are entitled to claim attendance allowance as well as your pension.
